TRAINING DESIGN
Having carried out an analysis of training needs and agreed the outcome with the customer, Pilotwise brings the full course design team into the project. As a minimum, this is likely to include; the lead project manager engaged in the Training Analysis; instructional subject matter experts (SMEs), familiar both with the ultimate frontline role(s) and training platform type(s); a training psychologist; technical author(s); graphic artist(s) and animator(s).
The design team will set learning objectives, choose media applications, devise instructional and evaluation strategies, and develop course materials.
Pilotwise Directors and SMEs have recently designed, taught and managed military flying training programmes. We appreciate the need to deliver training that prepares a student to address the tasks of today and, wherever possible, the future. In these times of fiscal restraint we design to maximize the use of existing resources in order to achieve the desired outcome as cost effectively as possible.
We aim to deliver to the student a stimulating and structured programme of learning that properly prepares them for their operational role.
Keeping in sharp focus the required outcome, Pilotwise designs each system to take proper account of:
- Optimal live and synthetic flying balance
- Task to platform analysis and overall system management
- Training pipeline capacity
- Instructional facility requirements
- The need for an effective training management system
We regularly return to the customer to discuss the design; as it matures we present, discuss and agree the near-final design in order to fully develop the instructional and evaluation materials.
