Training Consultancy Tasks

Since the introduction of the 100/200 series Hawk, Pilotwise has supported export contracts gained by BAE SYSTEMS. For all 100/200 customers to date (see the list below), Pilotwise has designed and produced training materials for the conversion on initial pilot cadres at BAE SYSTEMS Warton. These training materials have included syllabus design, technical briefings, phase briefings and sortie briefings. They have covered pilot conversion from general handling through instrument flying and navigation to formation and weapons training.

Development of Training Materials

In addition to the conversion packages described above, Pilotwise has produced the following for various marks of Hawk: Flight Manuals, Qualified Weapons Instructor Manuals, computer-based FLIR training materials, PC-based part-task trainers for radar, integrated communications systems and integrated weapons management systems.

Pilotwise specialists have provided a variety of consultancy services to BAE SYSTEMS. The Company has provided specialist technical input to several major competitive tendering processes, including the USAF JPATS programme and military helicopter training in the UK. Pilotwise played a significant consultancy role in pre-contract work on the Australian Lead-in Fighter (LIF) and the South African Lead-in Fighter Trainer (LIF) projects. Other consultancy tasks have included specialist input on Tornado aircrew technical publications.
