Training Consultancy Tasks

Pilotwise involvement with Pilatus Aircraft goes back to the design, development and production of a pilot training system, manuals and briefings for the Royal Saudi Air Force Pilatus PC-9 aircraft. Since then, Pilotwise has regularly supplied Pilatus with advice and data to support their sales efforts.

Training System Design

Pilotwise' links with the South African Air Force put them in an excellent position to advise the SAAF on their acquisition of a trainer to replace the Harvard. The SAAF chose the Pilatus PC-7 MkII (Astra in SAAF service) and Pilotwise was invited to support the contract. Pilotwise' experts worked closely with SAAF personnel over several months, designing how the new aircraft would be used and developing the training materials. A full suite of pilot training manuals and briefings was provided for the Astra.

Development of Training Materials

There followed a series of important contracts for Pilatus and Pilotwise, in which similar packages were provided for the Croatian Air Force, Slovenian Military Aviation, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Royal Air Force of Oman and the Royal Malaysian Air Force.
