The Need For Change
A pilot training system should be viewed as a single process, taking students from civilian life through to operational readiness on their eventual squadrons.
It should be capable of adapting to changes in operational needs. The ultimate aim must be to better match output quality against requirement while achieving maximum utilisation of its assets. It must be focused on the provision of front-line combat skills, a servant of front line combat capability.
New platforms are replacing obsolete training equipment and will better support the skills needed for front-line aircraft. Training syllabi must therefore be reviewed to ensure that they optimise the training capabilities of the new aircraft, and produce pilots qualified to support an ever-changing front-line need.
Pilotwise, by using its worldwide experience of pilot training systems, and their integration and operation, can facilitate stimulating and constructive local discussion and suggest changes to ensure your pilot training system fully meets your training need.
